Educator Showcase
Laura Smith: SSESLaura's ELT group created an interactive digital citizenship awareness week newsletter. The students used Educreation and Pic Collage to complete their artwork. They used research from the Common Sense Media website. They then annotated their artwork using the Seesaw voice recording tool.

Kim Coleman: SSESKim's class has began to use the Classkick app for their morning journal work. Each day she adds two new practice questions to their Classkick. She can model how to do the work for her students from her screen and it will directly show up on the students screen. She can send instant positive feedback for great work. Students can show their work and answer their questions simply by using the drawing tool on their screen.

Laci Ragan: LamarLaci's ELT group was doing a unit on American Symbols. After going on a Google Earth Scavenger hunt around the United States, the students used Popplet to describe them with their five senses. After that, students used the Quiver app to create flags that were a symbol of themselves. |
Anna Hicks: LamarAnna's class participated in a Mystery Number Skype. They Skyped with a class from Rockwall, TX. Both classes picked a number 1-100. They then asked a series of yes and no questions to eliminate each number on the number line until they guess the other class' mystery number. The students worked in teams to complete this challenge. They worked on place value, greater than, less than, odds, evens, and number line skills during this Skype session.

Chandra Maddox: SSES
Chandra has been doing a lot of wonderful things in her classroom with technology. Students have created a character analysis using the Popplet app. They have also worked on sensory details using Seesaw and Answer Garden. Chandra gave her students each a few pieces of popcorn. Students described the popcorn using their five senses. Students recorded their answer in an Answer Garden collage that Chandra shared out through Seesaw. Her class has also completed a Sensational Sentences Skype with author Chris Tozier. During this Skype students worked on adding "flavor" to their sentences by showing and not telling what they were writing about.
